Week 22: Something you Use Everyday
There is a saying that we use 20% of our things 80% of the time, and I have never found this to be more true than I have week. As I read the prompt for this week’s challenge, I realized there are very few things that I really use every single day! When I finally sat down to make a list, the results surprised me! I couldn’t believe that out of our apartment full of things, these were the only things I consistently used every single day!
So in the spirit of today’s challenge, I’m sharing with you all of the things that I use every single day!
Believe it or not, I actually made a list twice and forgot to write down my bed both times! My original bedroom set was roughly 10 years old when we sold it, and our current bedroom set used to belong in my parent’s guest bedroom before we owned it. My mattress is still the same one I had when I first bought my bedroom set, so needless to say it’s old!
All of my toothbrushes have come from couponing adventures. I have stocked our home with a year’s supply of toothbrushes.
Between binge watching Grey’s Anatomy or playing video games on the Wii U, our TV is used nearly every single day. Since we use it everyday, we made the decision a few months ago to upgrade our TV. Instead of going to the movies, we use our home movie setup to enjoy movies right from our own home!
Every morning when I wake up, I check the day’s weather through our Google Home. I do this even before I get out of bed some days! It has plenty of other uses like reading out your calendar events for the day, listening to the news, playing music, and more, but this is how i use it every single day.
There have been a few days when we didn’t eat at home (oops) but despite that, we usually end up using kitchen supplies for snacks or breakfast. In an effort to eat out less, we’ve been trying to eat at home more which also means using all of those kitchen supplies that have been collecting dust!
As far as everyday usage goes, these are probably the only things at home that get used every single day. There are many things in our home that get used a lot, but there are only a few select things that are used every day. I was really surprised to learn just how little I use every single day. I challenge you to make a list today of all the things you use every single day. I think you’ll be surprised to find how little you actually use every day.
What things do you use every single day?
