Walmart’s Savings Catcher tool allows Walmart customers to save and make money with little effort. This tool reimburses you anywhere from 1 to 13% on your Walmart purchases. All you have to do is submit any Walmart receipt using your Savings Catcher tool!
Savings Catcher works by comparing the prices of the items you buy (from your receipt) to deals and specials at other local retailers. After Savings Catcher has found the lowest price, you will be reimbursed the difference. The money will accumulate in your account until you are ready to redeem it.
Here’s how it works
After you’ve made your purchases from Walmart or Walmart.com, save your receipt. Scan your receipt using the Walmart app or enter your receipt number on the Savings Catcher section of the Walmart.com website. You will need to sign up for a free account to participate in the program. If you are entering your receipt online, you’ll need to locate the TC number. Your receipt number (TC number) can be found near the bottom of your store receipt.
Walmart will then compare ad prices for competitor stores in your area. If there is a difference in price, you will be reimbursed through an eGift card within 72 hours of submitting your receipt. You can submit up to seven receipts per week and save up to $599 per year.
For example, let’s say you bought a package of toilet paper for $12.99 at Walmart, but a grocery store nearby has the same package on sale for $10.99. Walmart will find the sale in the grocery store’s advertising circular and credit you $2 through Savings Catcher.
Savings Catcher does not work for produce, meat, bakery and deli items, DVDS, sporting goods, tobacco, automotive items, or prescription medications.
To use your eGift card click redeem gift card, print out the email with the eGift card barcode and hand the printed email to the cashier at checkout. You can use the eGift card online by entering the card number as well.
Walmart’s Savings Catcher works best for people buying things that are processed or prepackaged. Things such as soda, juice, cookies, ice cream, paper products, milk, snack foods, trash bags, etc can result in money back using Savings Catcher. If you regularly shop at Walmart for your packaged goods, you could be getting 10-15% refunded every trip! We rarely shop at Walmart, so we usually only receive a few cents for any purchase we make. However, it takes so little effort that it’s worth it!
